Use the three main pages.

There are three main pages: the Workshop Favorites, the Event Schedule, and the Instructors Pages.

The Workshop Favorites Page is where you save the Workshops you like and want to attend. There is one page for each DAY of the event. Each page shows the Workshops you choose for a single day. To see the Workshops available, tap on any HOUR of the day.

The Event Schedule Pages are where you find every Workshop available. There is one page for each HOUR of the event. One page shows all the Workshops for that hour. Move back and forth through the hours by tapping the arrows near the top of each page.

The Instructors Pages is where you find all Workshops for each of the Instructors. The first page shows you the names of the Instructors, in order by first name. Tapping on a name takes you to a list of Workshops. If you want to take all the Workshops, tap the Heart under the Instructors name. Otherwise, pick and choose from the Workshops listed.

To switch between the Workshop Favorites Page and the Event Schedule Pages, use the buttons at the very top of each page.

To see the Room or Instructor of a Workshop, just open the drop down by tapping the Workshop name. To choose the Workshop as a favorite, just tap the Heart when the drop down is open.

Relax. That's all there is to it.

Power User
Be a Power User in no time.

Here are some tips and tricks that will turn you into a Power User in no time.

Tip: Stay on the Event Schedule Pages.

Trick: Don't waste time moving back and forth between the Workshop Favorites Page and the Event Schedule Pages. Use the arrows on the Event Schedule Page. Select a Workshop for one hour of the day. Then tap the right arrow near the top of the page to go to the next hour. Move through the whole day that way. Then go on to the next day. Once you have your Workshop Favorites selected, you can see them all on the Workshop Favorites page. And adjust them if needed.

Tip: Never miss the Workshops given by your favorite Instructors.

Trick: Visit the Instructors Pages and choose all of the Workshops by your favorite Instructor. You can do this for several Instructors if you like, though we suggest you keep it down to three or four, at most. The selected Workshops are highlighted on the Event Schedule Pages with a blue border. So its easy to review the other Workshops available each hour through the day. Keep the Instructor's Workshops you like, or, if something else strikes your fancy, Undo one Workshop and choose another.

Tip: Don't miss out on the Event extras.

Trick: Take a minute to Set Filters to show just Specialty Workshops. Then quickly (see first tip) move through the days checking out what is offered. You are sure to find one or two of these unique Workshops that intrigue you. And everyone will marvel at how you know so much about the cool stuff happening at this Event. Tell them you are on a first name basis with the Event Directors. Oh, and don't forget to Set Filters back to 'all'.

Tip: Read all the Help Text.

Trick: Once you have used eventMINDER to select a couple of Workshops, read or re-read the Help Text. It will make more sense when you are comfortable with what eventMINDER does and how it works. You don't have to read it all at once. Take it slow. After reading, try out the information presented and make it your own.

Tip: Impress your friends.

Trick: Study the Legend and learn the color codes for the different types of dances. Or at least for the style you like. Then you can impress everyone by saying things like, "That's not a Partner Dance. Everyone knows Partner Dances are blue."

My Workshop Favorites
Know the time & place.

The Workshop Favorites Page saves the Workshops you plan to attend, so you never miss a Workshop. You always know where and when your Workshop is being held.

Select a DAY using the navigation bar near the top of the page. Then tapping an HOUR shows you the Workshops offered at that time. These Workshops are always available on the Event Schedule Page.

On the Event Schedule Page, tap a Workshop to see more information.

To return to the Workshop Favorites Page, tap Favs, in the upper right. Every Workshop selected by you is displayed on the Workshop Favorites page a day at a time.

Each Workshop is color-coded to indicate Line, Partner, Couples, or Specialty. See the Legend at the bottom of the page.

Keep on eye on Updates to have your Workshop Favorites stay up to date. If there are changes to the Event Schedule during the event, or if important information is made available, Updates turns yellow. Tap this button to see a list of changes or get information and to automatically make updates to your schedule. This way, your schedule is always up to date.

Tap Instructors to replace the Workshop name with the Workshop's Instructor. Tap Rooms to replace the Workshop name with the Workshop's Room.

On the Workshop Favorites Page, extra information, including the Room and Instructor, for all the Workshops is displayed by default. To hide this information, tap Close. To show it again, tap Open. Or to show or hide extra information for just a single Workshop, tap that Workshop.

Event Schedule
See Workshops 1 hour at a time.

The Event Schedule Page shows the Workshops for every hour of your Event, one hour at a time. This makes it easy to choose the one you want to attend.

Move to the next or previous HOUR by tapping the arrow on either side of the time. This is a rapid way to move through the day choosing Workshops to attend. If needed, you may select a DAY using the navigation bar near the top of the page.

Tap a Workshop to see more information. Then, to save a Workshop to the Workshop Favorites Page, tap the Heart. A Workshop saved as a Favorite is identified by a blue border on the Event Schedule Page.

Each Workshop is color-coded to indicate Line, Partner, Couples, or Specialty. Use Set Filters to just show the kinds of Workshops in which you are interested.

To return to the Workshop Favorites Page, tap Favs, in the upper right.

Tap Instructors to replace the Workshop name with the Workshop's Instructor. Tap Rooms to replace the Workshop name with the Workshop's Room.

Instructor Pages
Never miss a favorite Instructor.

You needn't miss any Workshops given by your favorite Instructors. The Instructor Pages show all the Workshops for every Instructor at your Event.

Instructors are listed in alphabetical order by first name. Tap a name to see that Instructor's Workshops.

To save all of one Instructor's Workshops, tap the Heart under the Instructor's name. If you change your mind, just tap the Heart again. To be more selective, tap a Workshop and use the Heart under the Workshop name.

A Workshop saved as a Favorite is identified by a blue border on the Instructors Pages.

Each Workshop is color-coded to indicate Line, Partner, Couples, or Specialty. See the Legend at the bottom of the page.

To return to the list of Instructors, tap Instructors Pages. To return to the Workshop Favorites Page, tap Favs, in the upper right.

On the Instructors Pages, extra information, including the Time, Room, and Instructor, for all the Workshops is hidden by default. To show or hide extra information, tap that Workshop.

Schedule Changes
Keep your schedule up to date.

Keep on eye on Updates to have your Workshop Favorites stay up to date. Although unlikely, there could be changes to the Event Schedule during the event. Your eventMINDER automaticaly checks periodically for any updates. To let you know about any changes, Updates, on the Workshop Favorites page, turns yellow. This button may also change color if other important information becomes available during the event. Tap Updates at any time to see a list of changes or get information. When Updates is yellow then tapping it will update your schedule, including any Workshop Favorites you have already selected. With eventMINDER you can always stay up to date!

Set Filters
Find your kind of Workshops.

Set Filters lets you focus on the kinds of Workshops you like best, whether they be Line, Partner, or Couples.

Each Workshop is color-coded to indicate Line, Partner, Couples, or Specialty so you can easily tell them apart. But you can also hide any type of Workshop that doesn't interest you.

So, if Line Dancing is not for you or if you never take Couples lessons, simply tap Set Filters. Then make sure the types of Workshops you want to see all have check marks. Tap Apply Filters and you're all set.

The filters only affect the Event Schedule Pages. You'll always see the Workshop Favorites you selected, no matter what type they are.

We recommend always leaving Specialty checked, so you don't miss out on any unique Workshops offered at this Event.

Open/Close
Display or hide info easily.

The Open and Close options give you control over how the available information for each Workshop is displayed.

Open expands, or opens, the drop down under each Workshop name. The drop down contains the name of the Room, the Instructor and any other related information.

Close hides, or closes, the drop down under each Workshop name.

The settings are independent for the Workshop Favorites Page and the Event Schedule Pages.

To show or hide extra information for just a single Workshop, tap that Workshop.

On the Workshop Favorites Page, the extra information is displayed by default. On the Event Schedule Page, this extra information is hidden by default.

Instructors/Rooms/Workshops
Instructors or Rooms by Hour.

Three options give you control over what is displayed as the header for each Workshop.

Instructors replaces the Workshop name with the name of the Instructor teaching the lesson. This lets you quickly scan for a particular Instructor.

Rooms replaces the Workshop name with the name of the Room. After making all your selections, this setting makes it easy to find an upcoming Workshop.

Finally, Workshops restores the Workshop name.

The settings are independent for the Workshop Favorites Page and the Event Schedule Pages.

Stored Data
Minimal data is on your device.

The Workshops you specify as Favorites are stored in your device's memory. The amount of data stored is very minimal.

Since the data is stored on your mobile device, if you use another device (your spouse's phone, for example), your Workshop Favorites will not show up on that device. They are still available on the original device, however.

To remove this small amount of data from your device when the Event is over, use Remove Event Data at the bottom of every Workshop Favorites page. This will delete the related data stored on your phone or other mobile device. And help get your phone ready for your next event!
